Marilyn Lewis is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice, seeing individuals, couples and children. She is a wife, mother of two adult children, and grandmother of three. Her passion and delight is to see positive changes in families as they find hope and healing in their difficult life situations.

She is an approved counselor on the Focus on the Family referral list. She has had specialized training under Karyn Purvis, author of The Connected Child, in “Trust Based Relational Therapies” (TBRI), offering research based interventions for children. Because of her own family’s journey with her daughter’s two adopted children, Marilyn’s counsel provides hope, help and support to struggling families. She specializes in working with children with challenging behaviors, and providing their parents with a new understanding of the behaviors as well as proven interventions.

Marilyn counsels from a Biblical worldview. She believes that every person is uniquely designed by God with specific gifts, purpose and passion. Because of life’s hurts and our choices, we have hindrances that are difficult to overcome. Marilyn focuses on how to constructively restore her clients to live a well balanced and functional life. She works with individuals, couples and families, setting goals to fulfill the design intended for them.

Marilyn’s daughter, Teresa Lass, who has been on the front lines in parenting challenging kids, is available for coaching. She truly understands and has developed excellent skills in helping parents through the difficult times.
